I would promote myself via publicly recognised websites such as CG society. The website allows me to upload my recent works and allow them to be viewed by animation industry people. Indirectly this will give me an opportunity to interact and showcase my work to them. However due to the strong competition in animation industry, a good show-reel and website self-promote may not be enough. Therefore the extra effort to build up a good impression and professional outlook is necessary in order to attract employer to
Looking at my work, I must first compare myself to the crowd. I also need to decorate myself/skills as an attractive package, for example, my CD show-reel has a design on CD cover and CD sticker.
